Friday Clues

Shadows of the Empire

The Bounty Hunt held on Friday evening was titled "Shadows of the Empire" as racers competed while the sun set on Star Wars Celebration VI at the Orange County Convention Center. With a few challenges placed in some of the darker corners, teams faced clues based on the time frame of the original trilogy.

The starting packet included the scorecard with its list of targets and locations, the first seven clues, and an ultraviolet light keychain. Once four stamps had been earned in the scorecard, teams could pick up the second packet, containing the last five clues worth higher credit amounts. The UV light was critical for solving clues 2 and 8.

Note: For Clue 2, teams had to successfully find the poster shown above, then use their UV light to find a secret message indicating the name of their target. For Clue 8, an invisible message was hidden on the clue sheet: The first line of code had A=11 hidden by it, while the second line had A=3, and the third line had A=8 by it.
